Want to try something different? So let's create a set of our own coffee bean blend recipe!

In the past, we used to enjoy the seductive flavors of coffee beans blended by different barista in various cafes. Blending is like a painter raising and creating attractive colors on a palette, so it is fair to say that blending is an art. The sense of accomplishment and pleasure that comes from creating a unique cup of coffee that is yours is endless, so what are you waiting for? Let's learn how to blend our own coffee beans!

Choose your favorite flavor mix

Use your favorite coffee bean as a base, making it more than 50 percent of all coffee beans, and supplement it with other beans that have a unique taste or aroma.

In general, mixed beans have an emphasis on blending flavor, aroma, and texture. From sweet, bitter or sour coffee, pick out the preferred taste, and then mix in proportion; Coffee flavor contains the aroma before drinking, the aroma in the mouth, after drinking the aroma from the throat, picking out the preferred aroma, so that the taste is rich, but still concentrated in one focus.

Through the blend of beans you choose, you can emphasize the taste and aroma of the coffee and meet your own "coffee".

Combine beans of different origin

Coffee beans from different regions have different flavors and characteristics. For example, coffee beans from Africa have obvious fragrance, low mellow and relatively short aftertaste, while coffee beans from America have medium mellow flavor, balanced aroma and high overall balance, while coffee beans from Asia have low flavor, high mellow aroma, long aftertaste and obvious tonality of herbs and spices. After learning about their different characteristics, you can mix and match 2 or 3 varieties according to your preference, and then choose a proprietary name, whether it is good for yourself or as a gift.

Determine the mix type

Among the methods of bean preparation, the most representative ones are "mix before baking" and "bake before mixing".

Generally, we call "mix before baking" "raw" and "bake before mixing" "cooked". The advantage of raw coffee is that it can use the same roasting degree to make the coffee stable and even. Second, it can reduce the number of roasting times, and one roasting can be in place to improve efficiency. The same roasting degree can also greatly reduce the difficulty of quality control. At the same time, the disadvantages of raw spelling are also very obvious.     The limitations of raw spelling are very great. Generally, it is recommended to select several beans with similar density of coffee beans. The advantage of cooking is that each bean can be baked according to the best degree of baking, to maximize the characteristics of each bean. However, the disadvantage of cooking is that the daily quality control and management will be more difficult, and the inconsistent baking date requires more attention to the growing period of beans. In fact, each of these two types has its own advantages and disadvantages, and there is no one better than the other. You can choose your own type according to its characteristics.

Determine the mix ratio

Finally, it is necessary to determine the proportion of blending, which is also a very important link. We will extract the selected coffee beans separately. Before blending, it is very important to check whether the quality of the coffee is up to standard and whether there is any difference in flavor. The second is the pre-confirmation ratio. After the extraction, the coffee liquid is extracted from the coffee liquid and mixed according to different proportions. Several schemes of different proportions are designed in combination, and an optimal range value is confirmed by sipping. As an artist, baristas need not only experience and inspiration, but also a certain amount of scientific calculation. The creation of artworks will not be accidental, but an explosion of long-term accumulation.
