Why does the GU63 use a 110 RPM low-speed motor?

In coffee grinding, high speed creates friction and heat, which can destroy the delicate volatile oils and aromas of your coffee beans before they even reach your cup. We engineered the GU63 with a 110 RPM slow-grinding DC motor for three essential reasons:

  • Preserves Flavor (Cold Grind): It prevents heat buildup, ensuring your coffee's natural sweetness and complex aromatics are 100% locked in.
  • Higher Grind Uniformity: Slower burr rotation prevents the beans from shattering violently. This drastically reduces the creation of micro-fines, resulting in a cleaner, sweeter cup with higher flavor clarity.
  • Whisper-Quiet: Operating at a low speed reduces mechanical vibration, keeping the noise level below 65dB for a peaceful morning routine.
