Not working correctly

Seems to be heating prematurely no matter what I do so coffee doesn’t brew correctly. I reviewed the manual to change settings but not doing anything. Looks like you can’t speak to a live person!!! Bad decision on this purchase

Product description

Wirsh 51mm Stainless Steel Bottomless Poritafilter for Wirsh Espresso Machine, Model:  CM5418, CM1665

There are a few things to note when using bottomless portafilters:

  1. Grind size: Use a dedicated espresso grinder to achieve the right grind size. Experiment with different settings to find the one that works best for you. The grind should be fine enough to slow down the extraction but not too fine to cause clogging.

  2. Dose: Measure the appropriate amount of coffee grounds for your shot. It is recommended to use a scale to ensure consistency and adjust the dose as needed.

  3. Distribution: After dosing the coffee grounds, distribute them evenly in the portafilter basket. Use a distribution tool to level the coffee bed, ensuring that it is flat and even. This helps in achieving an even extraction.

  4. Tamp: Apply an even and firm tamp to the coffee bed. Keep the tamper level and apply consistent pressure. This helps in creating a stable puck for water to flow through evenly.

  5. Extraction: Start the extraction and observe the flow of the espresso. With a bottomless portafilter, you can easily see if the water is flowing evenly from the entire basket or if there are any channeling or uneven extraction issues. Pay attention to the color and texture of the espresso as well.

  6. Cleaning: After each use, make sure to clean the bottomless portafilter thoroughly. Remove the basket and clean any coffee residue or oils that may have accumulated. Keeping it clean ensures better performance and longevity.
